Carroll was earning what heā€™s earning before arnie joined arnie was happy with what he got to join us. Problem is as soon as someone moves elsewhere for ridiculous money people like him canā€™t understand why his not earning the same. When Ozil got given Ā£350k a week suddenly Ramsey wants Ā£200k a week and suddenly everyone thinks theyā€™re underpaid.
I bet arsenal regret giving ozil that deal now

Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
He was made an offer he couldn't refuse and it turned his head. However the offer made to the club wasn't as enticing, and he's still here.
As was said previously, maybe on another thread, if he earns less than someone like Carroll, and knows it, it's reasonable for him to be disgruntled. He's a top player and Carroll is dead wood.
So now he has a better deal and everyone is happy, except for some of the fans who think there has been some Ince like betrayal.
Hopefully he can get over his latest injury soon and get firing again.

Iā€™m sick to the back teeth of the comparison ā€œ well if someone offered you double the wages youā€™d soon leave, maybe the five million pounds a fucking year Iā€™m already earning might at least put some doubt in my mind.sooner he fucks off the better weā€™ve had better players than him do it too us so nothing new is it

Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
The minute he started acting up he should have been kept away from the first team on match days & in training, not given a payrise.

Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
We need his replacement in this window, because of his release clause. Otherwise we start sweating when it comes to the Chinese transfer deadline.

He still could be sold in a couple of weeks time after our window is shut.

I said that last night when I saw the challenge - he has gone back to his old ways - when the going gets tough feign an injury to get subbed

Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
I might ask the club to negotiate a transfer and in the meantime play and train at the same level.
I wouldn't become a giddy little shit and sulk

If he performs then people will support him eventually
Hat-tricks at Wolves and against Liverpool would be a start

Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
If Marko comes back and gives his all for rest of the season I won't give a single fuck about the last couple of weeks.
How would you feel if you had the prospect doubling or trbling your salary?
We are a better team with him in it as it stands and it makes a change for a player not to bugger off.

Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
Now they have some places/clubs you canā€™t help but give a miss and iā€™m guessing he turned up for those so the whole up north and cold can be scratched off for the reason.

SurfaceAgentX2Zero 12:13 Tue Jan 29
Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
He played for Celtic, too, which is pretty north.

Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
I take it DiCanio didnā€™t play for Sheffield Wednesday then?

Definitely the north and as far as i know it gets cold too from time to time, in fact most of the time. Italy also has a cold North in the winter months so yet more scope for going missing.

Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
He fell out with Roeder and was left out in the that last season
But of the 19 games he did appear in 9 were away. So that was one of his more regular seasons

Miike

You asked for a link. I posted a link. You can't then just say, 'Fuck knows what you've posted there, I'm not interested'.

fuck knows what you've posted there but I'm not fucking interested. he had a lot of problems with roeder, I'd stopped going by then purely because of that cunt getting the manager's job. i know defoe was the main striker during his last season, with paolo, ferdinand & kanoute sharing the other games

Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
As a random example
Joe Cole appeared 187 times, 90 in away games

Sven

This 'up north' thing, true or not, was a by product of a huge press-fuelled spat between Di Canio and Julian Dicks.

I'm not dumb enough to get in the middle of that one.

Re: Arnoutovic Contract Extension
People on here used to constantly talk about Di Canio having ā€œNorthern flu.ā€ In other words, he always seemed to catch a virus just before we travelled to a cold Northern away game.
